There is a lot of good news being generated by the young people at the Oyster Bay High School. The Oyster Bay High School Foreign Language Honor Society put on a spectacular concert to raise money for the Haitian relief effort on Tuesday, Feb. 9 in the Oyster Bay High School Performing Arts Center (the PAC). Big Shot was performing. They are a premier Billy Joel tribute band. They raised over $11,000 for Haiti earthquake relief.
The Oyster Bay High School Varsity Basketball team did wonderfully at the semi-finals against Locust Valley played at SUNY Old Westbury. They won the semi-final on a 35-foot shot with less than one second to go in the game.
They will be playing in the finals at C.W. Post this Saturday evening, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. Now that is the place to be on Saturday night, wearing purple and gold. Great good luck to the Baymen!
