The meeting will feature a video titled Levittown: A Living History and will be presented by guest speaker Louise Cassano. Owner of LuCas Communications, Louise is known for her work in Levittown. She is past president of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce and the Levittown Community Council. She chaired the Levittown 50th Anniversary Committee and in 2006 chaired its 60th Anniversary Committee. Blood Drive
The 2nd Annual Sarah Grace Weippert Memorial Blood Drive will take place at Hicksville’s William P. Bennett Community Center, 28 Carl St., from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be between the ages of 16 – 76 (16-year-olds need parental consent; 76 and older need doctors note) and have a signed photo ID. There will also be a free bone marrow donor screening. Get Ready to Dance
The Hicksville United Methodist Church, 130 W. Old Country Rd., is hosting a dance featuring the G Strings and Amethyst Roxx (formerly known as Moms That Rock). Both bands play great dance music. This is a fundraiser for the Youth Group WorkCamp trip scheduled for July 11-17. The youth (and adults) work hard all that week to help others.
