TOPSoccer
While the day may have started with some drizzle, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the TOPSoccer players. There was some super soccer to be had on the field. The junior teams were the Elephants and the Mice. Each had their moments as the match went into a shootout, only to end in a 5-5 tie. The Elephants had goals by Kevin Chan, and Chris Cooney. Josh Hom, Mary Glass and Soph Gianakis scored for the Mice. Great play by Sammy Duggan and Kyle Hanratty. The seniors traded goals all game long. The red team would put one away only to have the blue team come right back with one of their own. Stefani Egre, Andrea Matteo and Brett Tirado tallied for the red team. Adam Strominger, Andrea Cellucci and Kendall Toomer answered for the blues. Frank LaPinta was outstanding for the red team as he relentlessly battled for ball control at midfield. The contest wound up with a 6-6 final score. Rich Bletsch, Director
