The recent decision to cut Able-Ride funding, which will severely impact Nassau residents dependent upon this service, is grossly unfair. Why have the Republicans in our local government turned their backs on those who are least able to help themselves?
All of the Republican legislators voted to get rid of Able-Ride, which will make life horrible for many seniors and the physically challenged. I’m especially disappointed in Legislator Belesi. You can’t just say you are committed to helping the people who voted for you in your area, you have to do it.
