The Acchords Live in Concert

Performing hits from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Doors open 7:30 p.m. at Joseph Barry Knights of Columbus, 45 Heitz Pl., Hicksville, New York 11801. Casual attire. The Hicksville Boys & Girls Club will hold a Craft Fair/Gift Show at Levittown Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is taking place the day before Mother’s Day and will provide an opportunity to purchase that special gift. For further information, call 822-KIDS.

Giant Flea Market/Blood Drive

The Parkway Community Church, 95 Stewart Ave., will hold its annual May Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain or shine). There will be “treasures” for all, including a plant and bake sale. First Step Nursery Open House. Vendors interested in renting space should contact Millie at 938-1233.

Eyes of Learning

Program: Lecture: “The UFO Experience – In Search of An Overview” with John White, internationally known author, educator and lecturer in the fields of the paranormal, consciousness research and higher human development. He has personally investigated UFO cases and is involved in the leading edge of UFO research. This evening’s talk takes a comprehensive look at the UFO phenomenon and the range of theories offered to explain them. Are extraterrestrial? Are they nonphysical? Where do they come from? What is their significance for the human race? John concludes that the UFO experience has both a physical and metaphysical dimension. He will have all your questions answered. 8 p.m.
