Lady Dalers JV Softball Team Season Is Looking Up

The 2010 Farmingdale Lady Dalers JV Softball Team was off to a rough start recently. With the team consisting mostly of freshman and having moved from Conference 3 to Conference 1, Coach Passante had her work cut out for her.

The Lady Dalers began their season with a 1-4 start before all of the pieces started to gel together. On April 23, they took on Baldwin at home. With Michelle Duddy on the mound and Hannah Soluri behind the plate, the Lady Dalers were unstoppable.

Farmingdale’s 12-0 win was definitely a team effort. Duddy threw a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts while only walking three. Soluri went two for two with two walks, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Amanda Hickey, who leads the team in walks, walked three times during the game, stole two bases and scored two runs.

“The team is really starting to put it all together. I am proud of the progress they are all making,” said Coach Passante. With only five games left, the Lady Dalers are hoping to continue making strides in the right direction.
