Boy Scout Troop No. 298, from Gloria Dei Church, will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the New Hyde Park Municipal lot, north of Jericho Turnpike on Lakeville Road, opposite the Hillside Library.
Thrift Shop to Hold Half-Price Sale

Katie’s 5K Run to Benefit Ronald McDonald House
Katie McBride’s Foundation will hold its first Annual 5K Run and 2-mile walk to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The run will be held at 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park. The 5K run will step off at 9:30 a.m. and the 2-mile Walk at 9:35 a.m. A children’s fun run will be held post run and walk and will be led by Ronald McDonald. The race is in honor of Katie McBride and all familes of all childhood leukemia victims and other life-threatening disesses. Senator Johnson to Hold Mobile Office Hours in Williston Park
Senator Craig M. Johnson will be sponsoring upcoming mobile office hours in the Village of Williston Park Public Library from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The mobile office hours program, which was started soon after the senator’s election to the state Senate, is designed to make it easier for residents to bring their concerns, suggestions and ideas to Senator Johnson’s office. “By coming to you, my staff and I are seeking to make it easier to bring your issues to our attention,” Senator Johnson said. Information on a variety of topics, including, what to do before you enter the hospital, motor vehicle rights, choosing the right college, and lowering prescription costs will also be available.
