Constance T. Haydock, the noted LI garden architect and lecturer will show slides and talk about the fascinating world of Italian gardens as they were studied by Americans about 100 years ago. The presentation will be held in the dining room, at Coe Hall, Planting Fields, at 2:30 p.m. The lecture is part of the celebrations for the re-opening of Planting Fields’ Italian Garden, one of the finest of its type from the 1920s. Free with $3.50 admission to Coe Hall. The exhibition “Italian Gardens in America” is open to visitors in the Manor House daily until Sept. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Free admission to the Italian Garden.
