On Aug. 28 the Underdogs Softball team will be hosting the Second Annual Richard Greene Memorial Softball Game and Fundraiser on what would have been Richard’s 25th birthday. Come down and share in the memory of a son, brother, cousin and close friend that the world lost too soon.
The game will be played at 6 p.m. on Field D at Hicksville’s Cantiague Park (490 West John Street). There will be various raffles with the proceeds benefiting the Ricky Greene Scholarship Fund and there will be a special appearance by Long Island Ducks mascot QuackerJack (the 28th only from 6 to 8 p.m.). The rain date for the event will be Sept. 4 (same time and location).
