Free Veterans Pancake Breakfast
Senator Kemp Hannon will host a free Veterans Pancake Breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon at American Legion Post 1082, 294 Bellmore Rd., East Meadow. Each veteran may bring the guest of his or her choice. You must register for the breakfast by calling Senator Hannon’s Community Office at 739-1700.

Free Solar Energy Seminar
The Town of Hempstead will host a free Solar Energy Seminar for Long Island homeowners interested in learning how to make the switch to solar electricity and other ways to make their homes more energy efficient. A representative from Bellmore-based Built Well Solar Corp. will explain solar energy’s true payback to the pocketbook and the planet. Join other residents who are doing their part to create a greener, cleaner Long Island by taking advantage of available LIPA cash rebates and tax credits for solar power. Q & A to follow. The Eyes of Learning

Lecture: “The Seth Material…The Lessons and How to Apply Them” with Anthony S. Picco, astrologer, student and teacher of the Seth Material, a collection of books and information channeled via author Jane Roberts from 1963 until her death in 1984. Jane Roberts described Seth as an “…energy personality essence no longer focused in physical reality.” Seth dictated 10 books and numerous monologues on many subjects, offering information and various exercises to help us get more out of our lives by understanding ourselves and our reality better. His key statement was “You create your own reality” and he meant that on every level; physically, spiritually and emotionally. This lecture will outline the basics of Seth’s teachings and offer exercises to help open your heart and mind to new ways of seeing the world around you.
100 Years of Broadway
Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre (located near parking fields 6 and 6A, East Meadow) becomes center stage for a nostalgia-filled musical revue featuring some of the greatest Broadway show-stoppers of the past century. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free. With a cast of Broadway actors and actresses, producer Neil Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway” includes standards by composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Frank Loesser. Among the shows that are incorporated into the evening’s entertainment are The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar and Jersey Boys. Call 572-0200.
