The Reverend Dr. Robert H. Neuhaus died suddenly on September 13, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Susan Peterson. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Ruby Hart. He was the loving father of Leah Lewis, Paul Neuhaus, and Rachel Matarazzo. Cherished grandfather of Sarah and Hannah Lewis. Dear brother of David Newhouse.
Dr. Neuhaus was a psychologist who also provided pastoral care to the community. He was assistant clergy at Christ Church and alternate clergy at Lutheran and Episcopal churches on Long Island.
Visiting is at the Christ Episcopal Church on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday Sept. 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Church, 65 E. Main St, Oyster Bay. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either: Christ Church or Doubleday Babcock Senior Center. A more detailed obituary will appear next week.
