Plainview Water District Announces Plans to Rehabilitate Plant Three

Public Information Meeting Scheduled for Oct. 19

The Plainview Water District Commissioners Joel R. Kessler, Edward I. Shulroff and Andrew N. Bader have announced plans to rehabilitate Plant Three, which is located on Orchard Street in Plainview. This reactivation will allow the district to better serve the public with clean, potable drinking water for generations to come.

“The rehabilitation of Plant Three is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to enhance the productivity of all of our sites and systems,” said Kessler. “We are constantly searching for ways to improve our service and provide the Plainview community with the best quality water possible. This is one of the many steps we are taking to better utilize our sites.”

Due to the plant’s position within the district, the rehabilitation of this plant will enhance the water production capability of the system as well as aid in maintaining adequate water pressure. In addition, this rehabilitation will provide much needed relief to the heavily used pumps throughout the system.

The district is pleased to announce that there will be a public information meeting on this topic to answer any questions that community members may have. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. Plainview Water District is located at 10 Manetto Hill Road in Plainview.
