Jessica Craft Knows Oyster Bay
Jessica Craft correctly identified the photo in the Oct. 21 issue of the Enterprise Pilot. She said, “ It’s the empty lot on Pine Hollow Road adjacent to the Coach Grill.” Perfect.
When we spotted the lot, it was amazing to see a well cared for plot of ground – empty, on Pine Hollow Road. It made us wonder what it will be used for in the future. We assume it is zoned commercial since that is what it is flanked by on both sides.
Billy Mincozzi said, “The all fenced in property is near the Hess Station and the animal hospital in Oyster Bay. There is nothing on the vacant property.
On a sports note, Billy is rooting for the Texas Rangers over the Giants in the World Series because they have never won it before. The 2010 World Series will be the 106th time the Major League Baseball‘s championship series will be seen.
The best-of-seven games will be played between the American League champion Texas Rangers and the National League champion San Francisco Giants, and is tentatively set to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 27 – which everyone knows is Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. “Bully” to the winner!
Belle Santora called with a good guess. It was lovely to hear her voice. It reminds us how nice it is to hear the spoken word, as opposed to emails. But keep on sending those emails.
And as for what is happening in town, we loved seeing everyone on Sunday, Oct. 24 at the fundraiser for the Christeen at the Beaver Dam club. Oyster Bay came out in force to support the oyster sloop Christeen that needs repair. Consider putting her on your Christmas list.
