The New Hyde Park Kiwanis rangers took on the cardinals on a beautiful saturday. It was a well-played game by both teams. Jake Glueck led the hitting attack going 4 for 4 with 2 doubles while Ian Myer went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a nice catch on a pop up. William Lentini went 2 for 4 with a run scored and an rbi and made two nice back handed stabs at the pitchers mound throwing out the runners at first. Brandon Alwadish continued his hot hitting going 2 for 4 a double and 2 rbis and made a great catch in left field. Frank Dimalta went 1 for 3 with a big run scoring single in the 5th. Anthony Robayo continued his hot hitting going 1 for 3 with a key single in the 5th. Eli Goodwin went 1-4 with a big single in the rangers 3 run 5th and made a nice play at 3rd keeping a runner from scoring. Charlie Linden went 2 for 3 with 2 singles in the 2nd and 4th. Ben Goodwin went 1 for 3 with a single in the 4th while Bailey Lee went 1 for 3 with a key rbi single in the 5th and a nice play at the pitchers mound and in centerfield. This was a well-played game by both teams with great fielding hitting and running

Hello Brewer fans. The Brewers again did not disappoint their fans as they held on for another great win. The defense and timely hitting, helped to extend and preserve the lead. The RBI awards go to: Abidin Dauti, Paul Depaulis, Darren Yang, Justin Yang, and Daniel Goldberg. The infield played great as Cenzo Montoni, Mathew Merolla, Anthony Devito, Daniel Mattei, Mathew Stroccia, Christian Zamorra, and Alfred Squiciarino, made many great plays to stop rallies by the Rockies. The team continues to practice hard and the results are displayed on the field. Tune in next week as the Brewers play their last game and are looking forward to a very special achievement

It was a great defensive game played by both teams. Leading the offense for the Braves was Jimmy Weedon with 5 clutch hits and 2 runs scored. Kenny Hirschfeld slugged out 4 hits. Ryan Wasserman, Nicholas Ungania & Evan Kreth had 3 hits each. Edward Mauceri & Duhan Lee had 2 hits each. Jeremy Wong contributed with 1 hit. Spectacular catches on pop ups by Duhan and Nicholas. Evan had a sparkling play at short stop. Coach Ken and I are so proud of how well the boys are coming together as a team. Go Braves Today Saturday October 30, 2010 sunny but cool the boys still brought their smiles and enthusiasm to play some ball. Great glove work and strong throws putting their bodies in front of the ball at no cost from Giuseppe Seidita, Brandon Colon, Nick Marsella, Jesse Witt and Dan Garcia. Great hitting and hustle down the line by Justin Marsella, Marco Gullo, Joe Mattei and Ryan Garzon. A monster double by our Birthday Boy Dan Reilly hitting one deep in the outfield atta boy enjoy your Birthday. A great game to watch with constant action and excitement by both teams.

As the temperature gets colder, the Nationals keep getting hotter. Another impressive offensive effort helped the Nationals light up the scoreboard with hits and runs all the way down the batting order. Notable plate appearances by Cooper Alwadish (2-2, 2 RBIs), Aidan Chun (2-2, 2 RBIs), Erik Lyngstad Hughes (2-2, 2 RBIs), Jonathan Grenard (3-3, 2 RBIs), and Lance Yetikyel (3-3, 2 RBIs) kept the hits and runs coming throughout the game.In the field, solid plays by the entire Nationals squad proved to be the difference in a well played game by the Nationals. Defensive players of the game were Christopher Erxleben, Joseph Vieni, James Kim, Jose Betances, and Jon Ziebitch kept players, coaches, and fans entertained throughout the second to last game of the Fall 2010 season. The Nationals play their fall season finale next week versus the Padres at the Merillon Athletic Complex.
