Justin Valluzzi, 11, a student at Hicksville Middle School, was recently selected to participate as a team member of Team USA Nassau Lions to play in the Lighthouse International Youth Hockey Tournament at the Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum Jan. 20 through 23.
Valluzzi was the only resident from Hicksville selected for the team, and is proud to have represented the community in the tournament. Team USA Nassau Lions played against elite teams that traveled to Nassau County from Japan, China and Finland.
This was an extraordinary experience and an honor for all players that were selected to participate. Mr. Charles Wang, owner of the NY Islanders, graciously hosted the tournament. The tournament came to a close with a beautiful banquet at the Marriott located next to the Nassau Coliseum.
