January 26 Mystery, Is Still a Mystery
Nella Stranieri called and identified the mystery mystery picture in the Jan. 27 issue as, the Chase Edwards Gallery in Oyster Bay. While that is not correct, it is a good guess.
Christine Zangari too thought the Jan. 27 photo is the art gallery next to Subway. She saw an open sign that made her sure of that.
Actually the photo is of a store in the style of the Chase Edwards Gallery, so the women are on the correct trail.
Billy Minicozzi said the mystery picture in the Feb. 3 issue is a concert in Oyster Bay, near the town square mall. That is actually a picture of one of the Sundown Concerts taking place at Rennaisance Plaza. On a Sports Note, Billy said, “Andy Pettite is retiring from the Yankees. He was a pitcher. And, I hope the Packers win the SuperBowl.” Billy got his wish! The Packers won, the Black Eyed Peas put on a half time show worthy of an Olympic stadium and the TV show Glee offered a great show to end off the night, as they kept announcing during the show.
Belle Santora made a good guess on the mystery picture. “If it’s not that, don’t print it,” she quipped.
“Ma Belle” as her neighbors call her keeps up with the times. She said it was Ronald Reagan’s Birthday. “He was born on Feb. 7 and he would be 100 then. I’m going to be 100 too,” she said.
Keep guessing the mystery picture. You have proof positive that it keeps people young. -DFK
