Robert P. Birney, of Farmingdale, passed away on Feb. 10, 2011. Husband of Beverly. Father and father-in-law of Tina and George Nielsen, Kenneth Urf, Sharon Birney, Brenda and Anthony DiPrizito, Michele Birney Crockett, Robert and Laura Birney, Suzanne and Steven Jencik. Grandfather of Joseph, Christie, Nicholas, Kenneth, Ryan, Brittany, Brianna, Steven, Sarah, Cassandra and Alaina. Great-grandfather of Terrance and Rosalia. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1066, VFW Post 7277 and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Arrangements entrusted to the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
