Oyster Flix
Anybody remember the old Lyric Movie Theater on Audrey Ave.? It’s been about 30 years since downtown Oyster Bay had a movie theater, but starting in February there will be a modified version of a theater, 17 Audrey Ave. Come gather, eat, drink, watch and discuss. To celebrate this vibrant history, The Oyster Bay Main Street Association is offering a new film series called “Oyster Flix” with an initial run of classic movies filmed in part on the north shore of LI. Movie snax’ will be available but bring your own beverages. Films (shown at 7:30 p.m.) will be immediately followed by a group discussion hosted by a speaker. $5 suggested donation /per person at the door. Call 922-6481. Today’s film: The Great Gatsby (1974).

Landmarks Preservation Commission
The Town of Oyster Bay Landmarks Preservation Commission meeting at 7 p.m. in the Town Board Hearing Room, Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Ave. The commission was formed to recommend sites and structures within the Town of Oyster Bay which have historical, architectural or antiquarian significance. Clubhouse Cooking
Instructed by Lori Henry at the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-east Norwich, One Pine Hollow Rd., Oyster Bay. Lori previously was an assistant to a private caterer as well as a pastry chef. Classes will be held on Thursdays for six sessions through April 28 (no session April 21), from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for members in grades 3 to 6. Materials fee $70. Participants will learn how to cook delicious meals, snacks and desserts as well as bring home food and recipes. Registration is ongoing at the clubhouse. Passion for Fashion Show
The Mill Neck Family of Organizations, along with the Mill Neck Manor Alumni Association, will host a “Passion for Fashion Show” on April 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the historic Mill Neck Manor House. Wearing the latest designer fashions from the renowned Brooks Brothers line, models will promenade down the manor’s enchanting staircase, and boutiques and jewelry will be available on the first floor. Guests may also partake in stylish and not-to-be missed raffles, a delicious brunch and cocktails. The event fee is $45 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Mill Neck Family of Organizations. •Alcoholics Anonymous closed step meeting Sundays at 8 p.m. and open meeting at the same time. On Wednesdays at 8 p.m. there is a beginner’s meeting and a closed discussion meeting. Adult Day Care
Jones Manor, 59 Bayville Ave., Bayville, is a licensed to provide Adult Day Care and Short Term/Respite Care to the elderly and their caregivers. Bayville Sports Program
The Incorporated Village of Bayville Adult Basketball and Volleyball Programs include: older teens and adults basketball on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and coed volleyball, Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Activities are held at the Bayville Intermediate School. OB-EN Boys & Girls Club

Coast Guard Auxiliary
The Coast Guard Auxiliary has formed a new Flotilla in the Oyster Bay area. Members are needed to assist the Coast Guard in performing new Homeland Security missions and to implement the Coast Guard’s many recreational boating safety programs. No experience or boat required. Day Break Program
The Doubleday Babcock Senior Center holds its Day Break program in the Christ Church’s Parish Hall, 61 E. Main St. Call 558-7211.
