Four Candidates Vie for Two Board Seats
Christine Humbert, PTA Council president, announced the date of the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District Meet the Candidates Night, as Wednesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. in the PAC – the OBEN auditorium.
The four candidates to run for election to the board are: incumbents Keith Kowalsky and Donald Zoeller, who are being challenged by Stephen Zbodula, and Maryann Santos.
Candidates had until 5 p.m., April 18 to get their petitions to the district clerk, Margaret Nolan.
Ms. Humbert said, “I have gotten the League of Women Voters to be the moderator at the Meet the Candidates night so that it will be impartial. They were the moderators the last time we sponsored a Meet the Candidate night when we last had a contested election.”
She said early Friday, April 15, that two packets were still out and had not been returned by then. On Monday, April 18, Ms. Nolan announced the candidates who handed in their petitions; one was not returned.
