America’s Poets Walk With Walt
The program, which will be held at the birthplace of America’s Good Gray Poet at 246 Old Walt Whitman Rd., Huntington Station, will be hosted by Whitman Birthplace Writer in Residence George Wallace. The program will pair a nationally prominent visiting writer with one of Long Island’s fine regional poets for a program of poetry and conversation. Neighbors Who Disappeared
Through May 1, Manetto Hill Jewish Center, 244 Manetto Hill Rd., is hosting the Neighbors Who Disappeared, which is an exhibit of collage posters prepared by Czech students ages 12-21, about Jewish populations who disappeared from Czechoslovakian towns during the Second World War. The exhibit is open on Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 8 to 9 p.m. Other viewing times are available by appointment.
