The Women’s Club of Farmingdale celebrated their 98th birthday at their Thursday, April 7 meeting held at Milleridge Inn. The festive luncheon was arranged by Cheryl Parisi and her committee Helen Bergmann and Ellen Pence.
The meeting opened with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Helen Ghiorsi. President Veronica Jones warmly welcomed members and guests. The usual order of business was dispensed with.
Barbara Hoerner announced that 10 boxes of various non-perishable food, snacks and personal care items that were donated by members at the March meeting were sent to men and women in the military service.
Three new members were inducted into Women’s Club, Kate McKeveny, Ingrid Hernandez and Ann Ciuffo. Membership chairperson Angela DiTullio presented the new members with yellow roses.
Celebrating 25 years with Wo-men’s Club were Rosemary Trudden and Elena Guercio. Beautiful bouquets of flowers and pins were given to Rosemary and Elena.
