Massapequa Kiwanis Hosts Annual Football Clinic

The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa will host the 16th Annual Baldinger’s NFL/Kiwanis Football Clinic, to be held on Saturday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at John Burns Park on Merrick Road in Massapequa. The clinic is co-sponsored by and for the benefit of the Massapequa Kiwanis Foundation and the Massapequa Mustangs Youth Football Program.

The clinic, which emphasizes football fundamentals and the positive impact of participating in all sports, is open to all youths 6 – 14 years, regardless of where they live. To date, our clinics have been attended by over 1,700 youths who have all benefited from a day of football and fun.

Gary, Brian, and Rich Baldinger who were the only trio of brothers to play in the NFL from 1986 thru 1993 will host the clinic. The clinic is an opportunity for them to donate their time and talents to the community where they grew up that has supported them through the years.

With the clinic fast approaching, those interested in participating, sponsoring, or donating raffle prizes may contact Gary Baldinger at (800) 821-2116, ext. 9116, fax at (516) 798-2236 or by email at gbald@optonline.net; cost of the clinic is only $40 ($45 the day of the clinic).

The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa, which meets at Katy Daly’s on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, does many things in the community. Visit the club website at www.massapequakiwanis.org to find out more and to get involved.
