The annual Hicksville Summer Street Fair hosted by the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce is right around the corner. Make sure to stop in this Sunday, July 24 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for a day full of fun, shopping and entertainment.
Look for the fair on Jerusalem Avenue from Marie Street down to the Kennedy Park area. Come early and plan to stay late!
Free rides this year include the water slide (an annual hit), Ferris wheel, rock wall, the swing and space ball and everybody’s favorite, Marty the Caricaturist, will be sitting in the gazebo between 1 and 3 for that special souvenir to take home – a cute picture of you or your loved one. Oh, let’s not forget the loveable balloon man who delights the kids with his creations.
The Mid-Life Crisis and MOTP (Members of the Press) bands will favor us with some popular and nostalgic tunes from the Town of Oyster Bay Showmobile throughout the afternoon. And the popular Farmer’s Market will be open during Street Fair hours for your produce shopping pleasure.
Proceeds from the event will support the Chamber’s efforts to help local businesses and the community. Through the generosity of various sponsors all rides and amusements for children will be free. The fair has been a summer tradition for the past nine years that everyone can enjoy. If you have never visited before, please make sure to stop in this year. It’s a great time to meet old friends while the children are enjoying their day.
