The game of Where in the World is Casey Anthony? is over for now, anyway. Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez says his client is back in Florida for the time being.
Anthony, acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee, is expected to report to court by Friday in Orlando for probation on check fraud charges, if her appeal fails.
While Baez didn’t reveal Anthony’s exact location in Florida, he told Geraldo Rivera on Sunday night that she is somewhere “very safe” with “people that care about her.”
A jury found Anthony not guilty in July, after she was accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008. After her release from jail, she disappeared from the public eye. Her lawyers said she was living out of state, but Anthony was ordered by a judge to return to Florida to serve a year of probation for check fraud she admitted to.
What’s all the fuss about? Well, Anthony was told by her original judge that she had to serve that probation after she was released from jail, but that order was not written down officially and she was released from jail, and from that probation, on time served.
Anthony is currently appealing the one-year probation and will find out if she has to serve by Friday.
