Hicksville Teachers Show Support at Homecoming

Members of the Hicksville Congress of Teachers turned out in full force at the Homecoming Fair on Saturday, Oct. 22. Manning their “Spin-It-to-Win-It” booth, the teachers encouraged the community to try their luck at the wheel for a good cause. The proceeds raised are all going to the HCT’s Scholarship Fund, which will be awarded to four Hicksville High School students graduating this June.

At the ever-popular dunking booth, Hicksville High School teachers, Jason Stanton and Jason Surdi, volunteered on behalf of their “Helping Hands” community service club to sit in the “hot seat!”

After three hours of continually being dunked in the freezing cold water by the enthusiastic students, over $500 was raised for local charities that the club supports.

Congratulations to the Hicksville High School football team in their big win against Plainview!
