Pedestrian Struck, Killed by 2 Cars in Brentwood

A man was mowed down by two cars while walking across the street Saturday night in Brentwood.

According to Suffolk County Police, at 10:45 p.m., a pedestrian was crossing Suffolk Avenue when he was struck by a Nissan sedan traveling west on Suffolk Avenue. The man was then struck again by another sedan that fled the scene.

The man was rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan, David Nabbie-Cuhierwar, 18, and his passenger were uninjured and remained at the scene. The Nissan is being impounded for safety checks.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
