Obituary: Beatrice S. Cook

Beatrice S. of Glen Cove, died on Feb. 11, 2012 at the age of 86. Wife of the late Dr. Albert W. Cook. Mother of Bruce A. Cook (Lorie) and Deborah A. Dietz (Harold). Grandmother of Susan (Charlie), Paula, Jessica, Jennifer and Timothy. Great- grandmother of Charles and Peter. Sister of Elizabeth Mack. Bea was an active member of the community as the owner of Maison Posh of Locust Valley, as a board member of the Matinecock Association and the Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island, and as a member of the Junior League, the Oyster Bay Historical Society, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club and the St. John’s of Lattingtown Episcopal Church. She was a dear and loyal friend to many and will be missed by all. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. Devine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. On Feb. 17, 2012, the life of Bea Cook was celebrated at St. John’s of Lattingtown Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. John’s of Lattingtown Episcopal Church, 325 Lattingtown Rd., Locust Valley, NY 11560, will be appreciated.
