Obituary: Irene Maio

Maio, Irene (nee Sassano) formerly of Farmingdale passed away on Nov. 20, 2012 while residing in North Carolina. Loving wife of the late Charles. Loving mother of Fran Moore and Irene Thomas. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly Moore. Originally one of 12 children of the late William and Mamie Sassano, she is survived by Mary Mauro, Eleanor Emma, Rita Staso, Eddie Sassano and Patricia Lyons. A funeral mass was held on Nov. 26 at St. Kilian RC Church, with entombment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc.
