10th Annual Night of Laughter benefit fundraiser supporting The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer held at the Milleridge Cottage, 585 N. Broadway, Jericho. Animal Rescue Benefit
There will be an auction with free admission to benefit Last Hope Animal Rescue at St. Bede’s Church, 220 Berry Hill Rd., Syosset on April 13. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the live auction beginning at 6:45 p.m. Live and Chinese auctions and mini flea market. All proceeds benefit Last Hope’s pet adoption and community outreach programs. British Veterans Fundraiser
The British Veterans of American in Nassau County will hold their Night at the Races fundraiser on April 13, beginning at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 320 South Broadway, Hicksville. Admission is $10 and includes beers, wine, soda, hot dogs. All are welcome to attend. Call 516-739-0698 for tickets.

Night in the Tropics
Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Jerusalem Avenue will host Night in the Tropics from 7 to 11 p.m. on April 13. Admission is $30 per person and includes dinner, raffles and entertainment. Parade Announcement
On May 27, the United Veterans of Hicksville will hold the annual Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. from the Sears parking lot. It will turn left and head south along Broadway to Old Country Road. At Old Country Road it will turn west until it reaches Jerusalem Avenue. At Jerusalem Avenue it will turn south and proceed to 4th Street where it will end by the Hicksville Middle School. At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Memorial Day ceremonies will take place at the Middle School’s Veterans Memorial Park.

Blanket Donation
The Parkway Community Church will be holding a “Blanket Drive” during the months of March and April. Gently used or new blankets will be donated to The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) in Hempstead, a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island.
