Do you have the X-Factor?
Fox’s hit talent show is hosting open auditions at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on Thursday. X-Factor is looking for solo singers and vocal groups, ages 12 and over, for the chance to win a record deal with Sony Music.
For aspiring contestants planning to audition, the registration period is April 23-24, either in person at the arena or online. Wristbands will be handed out from 8 a.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Thursday. People will not be allowed to camp out.
There is no cost to audition but there is a parking fee of $20 at the coliseum. After obtaining a wristband, X-Factor hopefuls will be asked to return to the coliseum by 7 a.m. Thursday for the audition.
Other audition cities are New Orleans on April 14 and Denver on May 14. People may also audition online by submitting a two minute a cappella video from now until June 16. For more information on the rules, registration, or online auditioning visit www.thexfactorusa.com.
