On May 5, Relay for Life of Hicksville is holding a Zumba Fitness Fundraiser to raise money for the Relay for Life event on June 8 in Cantiague Park. Relay for Life is a walk-a-thon hosted by the American Cancer Society in an effort to raise awareness about cancer, remember those who have perished and celebrate those who have overcome the disease.
Certified Zumba Instructor Cathy Cromer, along with Elyse Davidson, Joanne Pergola and Joy Kohn, will be leading this Latin-infused, high-energy dance fitness class to raise money for Relay for Life and to celebrate Cinco de Mayo — Zumba style. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the class begins at 6:45 p.m. at Hicksville Athletic Center located at 167 Broadway in Hicksville.
There is a $15 donation fee for pre-registration and $20 donation fee at the door; the event is free for cancer survivors. Come on down and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with friends for a fun-filled evening of exercise while getting healthy and donating to a great cause. Raffles and refreshments included. Email Cathy today to secure your spot, cathy.catzumba@gmail.com
