My last letter appeared on the same page as Stanley Greenberg’s weekly column, “Over 60…And Getting Younger.”
I don’t know how he manages that age-defying feat, but he’s apparently been defying the laws of physics, biology, gerontology and geriatrics for more than a decade !
Perhaps it’s that his initials (S.G.) stand for “Super Genetics”; because during the 10 years that I’ve personally been “over 60,” I’ve been progressively getting older—not “younger.” Maybe Stanley Greenberg is related to the fictional movie character Benjamin Button, and if that’s the case, I’d like to inherit his column on the day he regresses backwards from age 13 to a mere 12 years and 364 days—and is no longer officially (Judaically) a “man.” I would even be willing to honor publishing’s Truth in Advertising principle by re-titling my column “Over 70…And On The Road To Decrepitude.”
