The Saint Dominic C.Y.O. launched its inaugural track program this spring with 32 student athletes participating in first- through eighth-grade. The team had a fantastic first season, exceeding all expectations with incredible performances on the track.
The team competed in meets at St. Aidan and Our Lady of Lourdes. The team also competed in the regional meet at Mitchel Field, where 18 St. Dominic athletes qualified for the finals, the C.Y.O. Track Championship for Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
The N.S.C.Y.O. track program includes over 25 parishes with more than 3,000 athletes. With 72 medals won at the parish meets and in regional competition, and 11 medals won at the finals, the first season of track at St. Dominic was a smashing success!
