Obituary: Ann (Chamos) Volavka

Ann (Chamos) Volavka, passed away at the age of 94 on Aug. 16. A Bethpage resident since 1950, she was a former cafeteria cook for the Bethpage School District. She was predeceased in 1957 by her beloved husband, Emil Joseph, and by their cherished daughter Theresa in 2010. She is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands: Christine and Alfred Gros and Linda and Justin Perrotta. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Justine Gonzalez (Eddie), Annmarie Merritt, Danielle Gros, Nicole Gros, and great grandchildren Angelina, Jayden and Cole. A Funeral mass was held on Aug. 21, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, followed by interment at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn. Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur F. White Funeral Home.
