Nicolello Sworn In For Tenth Term

Legislator Richard J. Nicolello was sworn into office as the deputy presiding officer of the 10th term of the Nassau County Legislature by Nassau County Republican Committee Chairman Joseph Mondello on Jan. 6,

“I thank the residents of the 9th legislative district for the great honor and privilege of serving as your legislator,” Nicolello stated. “The next two years will be a time of great challenges for Nassau County. We must continue the work of reforming county government to provide quality services in the most efficient and effective manner possible. We have accomplished much in the last several years, but much remains to be done, including fixing the assessment system and finding new and innovative ways to reduce spending.”

At an organizational meeting of the legislature, Nicolello was appointed the chair of the finance committee, vice-chair of the rules committee, and a member of the budget review, planning, development and the environment, and economic and community development and labor committees.

Nicolello represents Manhasset, Mineola, Garden City Park, Williston Park, East Williston, and portions of Albertson, Floral Park, New Hyde Park, and Roslyn.
