On Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the first public board meeting of the Village of Floral Park of the new year, village officials and the friends and families of several local police officers gathered for commendations. Village officials recognized Officers Michael Saville, John Wilson, and Robert Hayes for a Sept. 2012 larceny at CVS on Jericho Turnpike. Officials also recognized Officer Saville for a May 2012 attempted burglary at the Floral Park Gas Station on Jericho.
Sergeant Will Doherty and Officer Brian Naughton were honored for their response to a choking victim at Victor Koenig’s Restaurant on Nov. 23.
