Howard Abbondondelo, commissioner of the Albertson Water District was recently elected president of the board of the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners Association (NSWCA).
In addition, to Abbondondelo, the newly elected 2014 board includes: First Vice President Thomas P. Hand of the Massapequa Water District, Second Vice President Raymond J. Averna of the Massapequa Water District, Treasurer Karl Schweitzer of the Hicksville Water District and Secretary Andrew N. Bader of the Plainview Water District.
“We are looking forward to a very active 2014,” said Abbondondelo. “The NSWCA plans to expand this year its educational series and seminars to continue providing member commissioners with the latest scientific and environmental information relating to Long Island water issues and concerns.”
