Port Washington resident Margaret Mary Farley Hirsch, 100, passed away on Jan. 24, at her Beacon Hill home.
Born and raised in Manhattan, she graduated from the Dominican Academy and Cooper Union, where she studied Art.
Before her marriage and family, she worked as a commercial artist. Married to her beloved husband Ray, they moved with their young family to Port Washington in 1948, where Margaret resided until her death. She celebrated her 100th birthday in October with her family.
Margaret’s husband, Raymond, predeceased her in 1988.
She is survived by her three children Jane Sullivan (Paul), Kathy Paulik (Andrew), and Richard, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church on Jan. 28, followed by burial at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
