Obituary: John J. Bennett

John J. Bennett, 79, of Westhampton Beach, NY, passed away on Feb. 11. Bennett was the beloved husband of the late Hannah (Joan) and loving father of Sean Bennett. A Navy veteran and 30-year resident of Floral Park. Bennett worked at Consolidated Edison for 42 years and enjoyed fishing and old Western movies. In addition to his son, Sean, Bennett is survived by his daughter-in-law, Constance; his grandchildren, Harrison and Georgia; his sister, Mary and his brothers Arthur and William. He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas. Visitation was held on Feb. 14 at Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Funeral mass was held on Feb. 15 at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Westhampton Beach. Internment was held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
