A suspect who allegedly ran an illegal taxi service has been accused of flashing a 6-year-old girl who was seated in the backseat of his cab in Roosevelt three months ago.
Nassau County police arrested 36-year-old Neri Garcia-Ramos of Roosevelt on Thursday and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said the alleged fake cabbie was driving the victim in his Ford Focus from her aunt’s house in Freeport to her Roosevelt home when Garcia-Ramos climbed into the rear seat and exposed himself to the child at 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.
When the girl started crying, the suspect got back in the front seat, drove her home and dropped her off without collecting the fare, police said.
Garcia-Ramos will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead
Special Victim’s Squad detectives request anyone who may have been a victim of the defendant to contact Nassau County Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
