Baylis Science & Technology Fair

Principal Greiner was very impressed with all the scientists!

Baylis Elementary School’s 2014 Science & Technology Fair was held on the evening of March 6, 2014 in the  Baylis gymnasium.  About two thirds of the student population participated in the Science Fair.

 

More than 250 student Scientists and Inventors exhibited their scientific knowledge and creativity through excellent projects! The Baylis Science and Technology Fair is an opportunity to share the ingenuity of talented young scientists and inventors.

It is the collaborative effort of family, children and school that brings imagination to life.  The Science Fair encourages the understanding and communication of problem solving strategies.  Children activate critical thinking skills to develop purposeful inventions.trans

 

Students spent countless hours in school and at home designing a myriad of display boards detailing both their ingenuity and creativity.  They used their critical thinking skills and knowledge to develop purposeful inventions and science experiments. It was a wonderful evening where all the students were very proud of their accomplishments!

Fifth grade boys created a World of GooThese are some proud inventors. Ms Pizzarelli & Ms Kuhl organized and inspired another wonderful science fair!! Everyone proudly wore their science fair ribbons First Grade girls enjoyed the science fair. Friction or non-friction testing was very interesting.
