Snow Day In Oyster Bay

The Oyster Bay Historical Society has a new exhibit at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit St., Snow Day In Oyster Bay. It includes the sign from The Oyster Bay Ski Center managed in the mid-fifties by Oscar Summers, from their collection as well as costumes on loan from Monica Randall. North Shore Reads

Time to get your copy of The Manor by Mac Griswold from local libraries to take part in North Shore Reads. On April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. enjoy a book discussion and desserts at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. The book is available in a variety of formats.

History in Motion: The Titanic (Grade K+)

Use your imagination and physical skills to maneuver aboard the Titanic. Creative problem solving, motor planning and listening skills will come in handy while on board. Please wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Registration began in February for OB-EN residents and begins on Thursday, March 20 for non-residents, space permitting. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the OB-EN Public Library.

Cosmic Lantern

For tweens and teens, at OB-EN Library, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Make a colorful out-of-this-world lantern using watercolors and enamel markers. New Children’s Book Club

Poster Workshop for Kids

Kids will learn about beach nesting birds and then create posters with the help of an artist to help protect the birds’ nesting grounds. Ivy Pull at Shu Swamp

 Join the Shu Crew of the Huntington- Oyster Bay Audubon Society on March 30 at 10 a.m. to help restore Shu Swamp by controlling English ivy and garlic mustard, invasive plant species. Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and bring garden gloves. Tasty snacks and extra gloves will be provided to the volunteers. Call 631-219-4795 to register and for directions.

Food Pantry

The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St, Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community. It is open on Tuesdays during their prayer times: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. If you are in need of their service, please call Pastor Diane at 516-922-2547 and make an appointment to complete their screening process.
