Village Wide Election: Congratulations
Congratulations to Deputy Mayor Nicholas P. Episcopia, Trustee Brian C. Daughney, Trustee Robert A. Bolebruch and Trustee-Elect Theresa A. Trouvé on their election last Tuesday.
I also want to express gratitude to all of the many residents who took the time to vote in the annual village election and encourage you to become familiar with your property owners’ associations and to become involved with it.
The four property owners’ associations, Central, West, Estates and East are organized according to geographic boundaries within the village and are the root of Garden City’s Community Agreement form of government. The Community Agreement was created to provide equal representation within village government and school district boards to each of the aforementioned sections. Participation in the property owners’ associations is the best way residents can learn about village affairs, contribute their point of view and volunteer their services to the community. Through the years, these four sections of the village have been responsible for producing many dedicated and talented volunteers. Every resident is encouraged to familiarize themselves with the community agreement which may be found on the home page of the Village website (www.gardencityny.net)
Shop And Dine In Garden City And Enjoy The Experience
I encourage residents to make a conscious effort to choose Garden City as the place to shop and dine. It would be extremely helpful to our business community if you could make one purchase daily in the Village stores. Customer service, selection and quality are outstanding. While shopping or dining let the merchant know that you appreciate them and all that they offer. I look forward to seeing everyone in town.
