Syosset High School Competes At NYSSEF

Eight Syosset High School students competed in the New York State Science and Engineering Fair on March 24, held at the New York Hall of Science in Corona, N.Y. NYSSEF is the state fair that feeds into the International Science and Engineering Fair. Abrar Nadroo won the Best in Fair Award, which includes an all-expense-paid trip to compete at ISEF in Los Angeles in May. 

First-place awards were presented to Abrar Nadroo in biochemistry and Jaclyn Schess in behavioral and social sciences. Third place was given to Danielle Kroll in medicine and health sciences. Additionally, special honors were won by: Danielle Kroll, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Award; Jaclyn Schess, American Psychological Society Award; and Abrar Nadroo, Society for In-vitro Biology Award.
