Last month, the Mayor’s Trophy Tournament winners celebrated another fun and exciting season.
On Wednesday, March 26, the East Hills Board of Trustees congratulated the athletes for their fine sportsmanship. Mayor Michael R. Koblenz presented the winning team with the trophy and organizers Peter Wagner and Stewart Faden, who ran the program, gave out mementos of the successful event.
This year’s softball tournament was universally agreed to be another major success for the village as it was highly competitive and fun for both participants and spectators.
“The tournament is one of the most spectacular sporting events in our community. It is exciting to see the talent of our athletes, and I offer my thanks and warm congratulations to Peter Wagner and Stewart Faden for organizing, planning and running the successful tournament,” said Mayor Koblenz.
