Ladies Night Out SEPTA Fundraiser May 1

FUNDRAISERWith nearly 100 community and school programs created since chartering in 2008, Manhasset SEPTA has truly serviced Long Island’s special needs families.

“Fundraising events like our Ladies Night Out makes this all possible,” states Manhasset SEPTA Co President Diane Treacy. The Third Annual SEPTA Ladies Night Out event will raise funds for gifted/talented and special education programs in the upcoming school year.

The Cinco de Mayo themed fundraiser takes place on Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Port Washington Yacht Club located at One Yacht Club Dr. Port Washington. The event includes fiesta favorites like sangria, a frajita station, and quesadillas, as well amazing raffle prizes valued up to $2,000.

Top raffle prizes include two Tory Burch handbags, several Calvin Klein bags and wallets, Versace sunglasses, iPad and Ghurka leather case, a $1,200 Ferragamo clutch, and a $2,000 Bally Sambre crocodile handbag. There are also wine and liquor baskets, dinners at top restaurants i.e. La Coquille and Desmond’s Steakhouse, spa packages, Yankee tickets and boot-camp sessions at the Fitness Loft. “We have unbelievable prizes ladies of all ages will adore that are ideal for Mother’s Day,” Treacy noted. “Tickets to the event are limited so reserve your spot now.”

Event tickets are $45 per person and are available in advance and at the door, although space is limited. Raffle tickets may be purchased in advance. Winners need not be present to win. Log on to www.manhassetsepta.org for details about the event, reservations, and purchasing raffle tickets.

Manhasset SEPTA is a local chapter of the National PTA supporting Manhasset’s special education population, including teachers, school staff, children and their families. Through expert presentation, workshops, community programs and local resources, SEPTA provides support for over 600 Manhasset families and more than 900 school staff members.
