On May 3, the Jericho-based National Association of Mothers’ Center will host its first certified 5K/One Mile Walk and Kids Fun Run on the brand new Long Beach boardwalk. This event marks the centennial of Mother’s Day and is a way for everyone to honor a mom they love.
What better way to celebrate 100 years of Mothers’ Days than by helping raise funds which underwrite a 39-year-old program that puts moms first by supporting them wherever their walk through motherhood might take them.

Event Schedule
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM Check-in and Day of Registration
9:00 AM – Kid’s Fun Run
9:30 AM – 5K Start Time
10:30 AM – Award Ceremony and Raffles
Same Day Packet P/U & Check-in, 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM.
Participants can pick up their packets, which includes your bib, chip and t-shirt, on the day of the race at Check-In/Day of Registration Table.

With its proximity along the beautiful new Long Beach Boardwalk, this 5k Run/Walk and Kid’s Fun Run is perfect for any age and any experience level.
*USATF-accurately measured flat and fast certified course
*Located on the new and beautiful Long Beach Boardwalk with the Start and Finish at Riverside Blvd. on the boardwalk.
*Chip timing and scoring will be provided by Long Island Road Runners Club.
T-shirts
T-Shirts will be provided on race day to all pre-registered participants. Additional T-Shirts will be available on race day while supplies last.
Awards
Awards will be given to the registered top 3 overall finishers in the following categories: Top Male/Top Female, 12 and under, 13 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, and 70+ .
Fun Run: Participation award for all registered participants.
Kids Fun Run
The Fun Run is for children ages up to 12yrs. Children 12 and under who are registered for the 5K Run/Walk can participate in the Fun Run at no extra charge. The Fun Run will begin at approximately 9:00 AM.

Team Rules
*The Team Captain must register first to create team name.
*Team Captains must register online.
*Team entry fees are per participant.
*If you sign up as an Individual then switch to a team, there is NO refund for Team Registration.
*To be considered a ‘team’ there must be 5 or more participants registered under your team name by April 14, 2014
Please note if by April 14, 2014 there are not 5 or more team members registered on your team, each team member will be required to pay the additional $5 for an Individual registration when they pick up their race packet.
