It’s Time for Tea
The Oyster Bay Historical Society’s spring exhibition, It’s Time for Tea!, is open at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit St., through June 8. It features ceramics by members of the Long Island Craft Guild’s Clay Media Group, and several miniature teapots by famed studio potter Fong Chee. Most items are for sale. Fabulous Interiors At Coe Hall
Coe Hall Mansion at Planting Fields hosts an exhibit through Sept. 30 featuring Fabulous Interiors by Elsie de Wolfe and Charles Duveen, 1915 – 1945 is open daily at Coe Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free with $4 Coe Hall admission fee. The Tea House near the Italian Garden is open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., entrance to the Tea House is free with $8 parking fee.

A Brush With Cocktails
If you can write your name, you can create art. Indulge your inner artist in an evening of cocktails, music, food and fun, from 7 to 9 p.m. A talented local artist will lead attendees through step-by-step instructions to create the evenings featured painting. It is stress-free and absolutely no experience is necessary. Attendees will take home their very own masterpiece and many fun memories. Hors d’oeuvres and salads are included and are being provided by Jack Halyards American Bar & Grill. Wine tasting also provided – attendees are also welcome to bring their own beverages. Memorial Day Parade
The Oyster Bay Quentin Roosevelt American Legion Post No. 4 holds its annual Memorial Day Parade organized by Parade Chairman Reginald Butt, Jr. The pastors of the Assembly of God, Diane and Ray Melograne, will officiate. The Rev. Jeffrey Prey will officiate at the Waterside Service that occurs in the middle of the parade. Marchers gather by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home and proceed down South Street to East Main Street, to Ships Point Land and back to the Derby-Hall Bandstand for a service at the veteran’s monuments. Bring you own chairs. For information call 516-922-7135. Raynham Hall staff and volunteers, wearing their historic costumes, will be marching in the Oyster Bay Memorial Day parade.
Party at Raynham Hall Museum
After the parade, you are invited to Raynham Hall Museum, 20 West Main St., home of Robert Townsend and the Culper Spy Ring, for song, storytelling, historic games, face painting and free ice cream on May 26. Bring your family with a picnic lunch and blanket, and listen to music and storytelling by local musician, Johnny Cuomo. This event is free and open to the public and includes entrance to the museum. The festivities begin around 11 a.m., after the parade. In the event of rain, the outdoor festivities will be held inside the museum. For information call 516-922-6808.

Bay Day, Art Day
The WaterFront Center presents its annual Bay Day events the same day as the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce presents it’s Art Walk from the Knitted Purl to the Bandstand on Audrey Avenue. [Nassau County has cleared out its highway equipment from Beekman Beach allowing the Bay Day events to continue this year. The county plans to return in October to work on the area from Cleft Road to Oyster Bay.] The event for learning about the marine environment includes: live music on stage; food and refreshments for purchase from Sweet Tomato; the Anything That Floats Race; free Harbor Tours aboard the Christeen; free Sonar sails; free kayaks; touch tanks of local marine life; and community groups outreach. Anniversary Party
Raynham Hall Museum celebrated the 60th anniversary of their incorporation of The Friends of Raymham Hall, Inc. with a cocktail re eption for the opening of their new exhibit; Founding Friends: For the Love of Raynham Hall. Alex Southerland has been researching the creation of the museum by a group of enthusiastic woman as they saved the house from falling into disrepair. “We have a great story to tell,” she said. Finally, a clam fest, this one is a benefit for the Oyster Bay Historical Society, rain or shine, on June 6, featuring the Crosstown Blues Band, the Oyster Bay Brewing Company’s craft beers and Tommy Clams catering. Food Pantry
The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St., Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community.
