Merit Scholarship Winners

meritTwo Roslyn High School seniors, Allison Bichoupan and Josh Loria are winners of a National Merit Scholarship. Each student will receive a $2,500 award for college.
About 1.5 million juniors in about 22,000 U.S. high schools entered the 2014 National Merit Program when they took the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). About 8,000 Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $35 million, are being awarded this spring to students across the country. Scholarship winners are the finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
Allison and Josh are also valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2014, respectively.
