A 38-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car that was making a left turn on Sunrise Highway in Freeport on Sunday afternoon.
Nassau County police said a 23-year-old man was driving Toyota Scion TC westbound on Route 27 and was turning onto Buffalo Avenue when his car collided with an eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle at 4:40 p.m.
The man riding the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
Homicide Squad detectives impounded both vehicles but found no apparent criminality.
